The YOMAD Teacher Training 200h is an international certificated Online Yoga Teacher Training.
Our Yoga teacher training focuses on Hatha and Vinyasa style but introduces and combines different other Yoga styles to get a wide overview of the different yoga paths.

We use lots of videos to demonstrate you in each chapter and lesson, how it should look like and offer you guidance and scripts to read. Our Facebook groups, forum and webinars help you to stay connected to other students and get in contact with your teachers to ask questions.

After every lesson, you have to answer a quiz and run through a final exam,  to finish your training with a Yoga alliance certificate to be able to teach all over the world.


  • Minimum 3 months with the amount of weekly 10-15 hours.
  • Maximum 12 months to finish the total course.



Section 1: Introduction to the YOMAD 200 hours online Hatha and Vinyasa Teacher training course

In this course, you will learn everything you need to know, to become a knowledgeable, self-confident and inspiring Yoga teacher.

As a Yoga teacher, we need a good foundation of anatomy and philosophy, know how to sequence classes organically for different levels, how to use props and offer modifications to meet the needs of our students and guide them safely through their Yoga practice.

In this section, you will meet our lovely teacher team and they will give you an overview of the course structure, the needed material, and media to successfully work with Yomad Academy.


Section 2: History of Yoga

Yoga was never invented by anyone, it was born at the time of the creation of the universe and it is believed to be self-evolved.

As a Yoga teacher, we need to know about its roots and history, in order to understand the variety of modern approaches.

  • Study the four stages of Yoga history
  • Explore different modern Yoga practices and how to identify them, learn how they differ from each other and about their main principles
  • The nomad lifestyle, the history of a moving culture and modern ways of living


Section 3: Art of teaching part 1

A mindful Yoga teacher knows how to apply the ancient wisdom of India into modern ethics of teaching Yoga.

In the art of teaching, we will help you to build the bridge between traditional and modern approaches to Yoga practices, to ensure your teaching style will be more than only guiding in and out of postures.

You will understand the responsibilities and qualities of a Yoga teacher, connecting with your genuine teaching style.

  • Learn the core principles and practices of Hatha Yoga

Section 4: Basic Anatomy

The practice of Yoga is both, spiritual and physical. Working with human bodies requires an understanding of basic movement mechanics and their application to Yoga poses, in order to teach Yoga safely.

Learning about the human body you can sequence classes intelligently, work on different targets, and offer your students more benefit through their practice.

The Yoga Sutras are widely regarded as the authoritative text on Yoga, outlining the eight limbs of Yoga. These threads, as sutra translated from Sanskrit, of wisdom offer guidelines for living a meaningful and purposeful life.

Diving in the practice of Vinyasa Yoga, you will explore the freedom of sequencing a Vinyasa Yoga class and learn how much fun it is to use different techniques of sequencing.

Section 7: Applied anatomy

Taking your understanding of basic anatomy and movement mechanics one step further: you will deepen your knowledge, looking at the different joints to better understand their structure, range of motion, which muscles move them and how to apply this knowledge into asana practice.

Section 8: Hatha yoga Pradipika

The Hatha yoga Pradipika is one of the three classical texts on Hatha Yoga and beside the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali the most influential known text on Yoga.

It describes the techniques of Hatha Yoga, which cleanse the physical and subtle body, and their effects.

Use your understanding of the five points of Hatha Yoga to integrate them into your daily life.

Section 9: Yogic anatomy

In the western world, the field of anatomy is mainly concerned with the physical structure of human bodies. According to yoga, anatomy includes the flow of energy and subtle body systems. The true purpose of yoga is to develop a relationship with our true self, through working with all the different layers of our existence.

Section 10: Bhagavad Gita

The Bhagavad Gita was written down as a religious-philosophical poem as a part of the Mahabharata, the biggest Indian ancient narrative.

It is a dialogue between Krishna and  Arjuna that covers a broad range of spiritual topics, touching upon ethical dilemmas and philosophical issues, presenting four paths to spirituality, “bhakti”, “jnana”, “karma” and “raja” Yoga.

  • Learn how to easily integrate “Karma Yoga”, selfless service, into your daily life

Section 11: Anatomy: other bodily systems

Moving the body through yoga asana, we do not only rely on our bones and muscles, but also involve other bodily systems that support the breath, the flow of blood and process the information we receive through our senses.

Understanding how they work in the body, you will take your sequencing one step further.

  • Dive into the basics of the nervous system to understand how we take in information through our senses, process it in the brain, and act according to our interpretation.
